What an honor: Mayor Ann Tennes and the Village of Skokie are officially proclaiming September 14 (our club’s founding date) as “Skokie Swifters Day” in honor of our 5th anniversary! We will be receiving a special award and proclamation at the Village Board Meeting on September 22, and we would LOVE to have a huge Swifty turnout for all of us to be recognized! Please plan to run/walk as usual at 6:00pm at Sketchbook. We’ll then head over to Village Hall around 7:00pm to be seated in time for the 7:30pm meeting start time. Our recognition should kick off their meeting and should last no more than 15-20 minutes. We sincerely hope you can plan to attend to be celebrated alongside all of your Swifty fam!
We are so excited to celebrate our 5th Swiftiversary with you on September 19! The official RSVP date has now passed, but please reach out to us at skokieswifters@gmail.com if you are still interested in attending.
The countdown is on! Save the date for a very special and epic Saturday Scamper for our very own Felix Estrada: we’ll be celebrating Day 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ of his at least one mile a day run streak! It’ll be a special morning with a group run and other fun along the way. For now, Soul Good will be our starting point but we will update that as the time gets closer. Hope you can save the date for this very special morning with Felix!
