Skokie Swifters Run/Walk Club

In 2020, Sabrina/Captain Swifter decided to run the entirety of the North Branch Trail (~20 miles) on New Year's Eve as a way to say SO LONG to the ridiculous year that was, and friends came along to support. She called it the End of the Dumpster Fire Year 20ish Miler, and it evolved and grew over the years to become a Swifter tradition. Now, in its sixth year, we’re happy to present a newly branded run for us to end the year together: the End of the Year Swifter Four-2-Felix (F2F) Relay!

Choose a relay of four people (5ish miles each), a relay of 2 people (10ish miles each), or go the entire 20 miles solo Felix-style, and spend your last Saturday morning of 2025 with your fellow Swifters! The start line is the start of the North Branch Trail near Foster and Cicero in Chicago, and the finish line is the Tower Road Skokie Lagoons parking lot, with exchange zones every 5ish miles. You can also meet us along the way to cheer us on, be an aid station, or join at the end for the Skokie Lagoons parking lot potluck party! This is an altogether run - meaning it's not a race and it's not meant to be fast, and we all run/walk the same pace together - no Swifter left behind! This is a let's-enjoy-each-other's-company-and-be-grateful-that-we-GET-to-run run 🙂
